Rain water saving
"The
wars of the 21st century will be fought over water " - Do you remember the
famous quotes by Ismail Serageldin? This was a warning about water scarcity.
Still, in this 21st century, we can overcome the struggle towards water
scarcity. Our earth consists of almost 80% of water. Water is not only in the
sea and other water resources but also in particles in the air and soil. But as
per the records, only around 0.5% of the
water is fresh. By some sort of human activities, these freshwater bodies are
getting polluted. The main sources of water pollution are waste from industrial
sites, marine dumping, global warming, radioactive waste, and sewage, etc. Let
us prevent water pollution for tomorrow's needs from today itself. For that
dispose of the chemicals and waste properly without affecting water resources.
Using phosphate-free detergents and soaps reduces pollution. A properly manage drainage system also reduces
pollution. Save every single drop of water. Rainwater is one of the water
resources. This can be collected and stored without wastage. by the process of well recharging Pathanamthitta, this seeps down and
increases the underwater level.
